Ramelton

One of five designated Heritage Towns in County Donegal, this quaint village along the shores of Lough Swilly in North Donegal is full of character with many preserved Georgian buildings. In the 18th and 19th centuries, Ships regularly traded between Ramelton, New York, and Kingston, Jamaica. Each week, the town of Ramelton hall hosts a Country Market with artisan food and crafts available to locals and visitors, and there are plenty of cosy cafes, pubs and shops to discover. There is a mixture of accommodation including B&Bs and AirBnb accommodation available in the town.
